Mushroom Mac n' Cheese
Serves 4
Ingredients
1. 1 onion
2. 1 tbsp sunflower oil
3. A pinch of salt
4. 1 tbsp flour
5. 400ml milk – or vegan equivalent
6. 150g mushrooms
7. Half a ball of mozzarella
8. Less than a teaspoon of mustard
9. 200g pastaÂ
10. 15g hard strong cheese
11. A slice of bread
Method
1. Peel and chop the onion and put it in a pan with some oil. Cook on a gentle heat for a few minutes, season with salt and sprinkle in flour. Mix everything together so the onion is coated.
2. Add some milk and mix together to make an onion paste. Continue adding the milk slowly until all 400 ml of milk has been incorporated.
3. Slice up the mushrooms and add them to the pot. Add the cheese and mushroom and stir until meltedÂ
4. Remove pan from heat and fold through the pasta and place in the oven for 45 mins at 180 degrees
Tasty Tip
Sprinkle bread crumps on top before baking to make it extra crispy
